Senior portrait session at the beach

Last summer I met this rising senior from Winnacunnet High School in Hampton, NH for his senior session at the beach. This particular session was made even more special by the presence of a familiar face — his mom, who I used to work with, adding a wonderful layer of joy and familiarity to the day.

We met at Plaice Cove a residents only beach in Hampton, NH. Their family has been going to this beach for his whole life. So, having the pictures here was very sentimental - especially for his mom! The importance of the location made the session more than just a photoshoot; it was a celebration of his journey so far and the adventures that lay ahead.

The whole session was fun and laid-back. We shared stories and reminisced, allowing the shoot to unfold naturally, capturing him in moments of contemplation and bursts of laughter. Choosing the right outfit for the session was also fun challenge, and with his mom's help, we decided between a couple of different shirts. Each option brought out a different part of his personality, from casual to a more polished look. The outfits, coupled with the beach setting, made for some truly awesome shots.

As the sun set, the sky transformed into a photographer's dream! The colorful hues of the 'cotton candy skies' provided a spectacular backdrop and was the perfect way to end the photo session. For his mom and me, it was a trip down memory lane, and for him, it was a fun and fitting mark of his high school graduation.
