My favorite Beach Spots in Ma and NH


There are so many beaches between the North Shore of Massachusetts and the New Hampshire coast line. I'm lucky that I get to spend many of my summer nights at the beach! Here are my top spots for photo sessions in North of Boston and Southern New Hampshire.

#1 GREAT ISLAND COMMON - NEW CASTLE, NH


Great Island Common in New Castle, NH, is a picturesque coastal gem that offers a little bit of everything— tall grass, a quaint sandy beach, and views of the Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse. This spot offers a little bit of everything, and it's no surprise that this is the most popular photo session beach spot for my clients.

#2 NORTH hamptoN state beach - north hampton, nh


North Hampton State Beach in North Hampton, NH offers more than just a classic beach backdrop. Lined with charming fisherman cottages in a mix of colors and styles, this spot provides a unique and vibrant setting for photos, adding character to the typical sandy shoreline and ocean views. And the best part? The Beach Plum, a popular ice cream spot, is right across the street—making it the perfect post-session treat to end a day by the ocean on a sweet note!

#3 plaice cove - hampton, NH


Plaice Cove in Hampton, NH, is a Hampton residents only beach, offering a quiet escape from the busier public beaches. This small, locals-only stretch of sand is the perfect place for its gentle waves and rocky shore adding to the coastal charm. But what truly sets Plaice Cove apart are the breathtaking cotton candy sunsets!

#4 crane beach - ipswich, MA


A photo session at Crane Beach in Ipswich, MA offers a striking scene of natural beauty, where the boardwalk stretches through tall grass and opens onto a vast beach. While planning a shoot, however, from personal experience it's advisable to schedule around the peak activity of greenhead flies from mid-July to early August.

#5 dog beach - nahant, ma


The backdrop of the Boston skyline in the distances is what sets this beach location apart from the rest! This spot is somewhat hidden, requiring a bit of a walk and a touch of adventure to access. However, the journey is rewarded with a peaceful stretch of shoreline and amazing views!
